WHO IT'S FOR

Is this you?

"I get blackheads on my nose and chin no matter how well I cleanse.

By lunchtime my skin looks oily and my makeup slides.

Old pimples leave red or brown marks that take months to fade.

I break out on my back and chest, not just my face.

My skin feels rough and bumpy under foundation.

My skin looks dull, even when I'm not breaking out.

Alpha-Beta Clear is prescribed for exactly this.

HOW IT WORKS

What it is?

Alpha-Beta Clear is a professional peel from O Cosmedics.

It uses two gentle acids.

One smooths the surface and helps old marks fade.

The other follows oil into the pore and loosens the plug that becomes a blackhead.

Vitamin B3

Vitamin B3 calms the skin as it works.

Treatment

One peel shows you what it does.

A course of four to six, spaced to your skin's own renewal cycle, is what changes how it behaves.

Results & What to expect?

01

Peels 1–3

Fewer, shorter breakouts and smoother skin.

02

Peels 4–6

Older marks soften and tone evens.

03

After

It holds with home care and SPF. A maintenance peel every 6–8 weeks keeps it. Not for pitted scars, deep pigment or cystic acne.

Questions clients ask

Does it hurt?

No. Warmth and a tingle that builds for a minute or two, then settles. Your therapist checks in throughout and can neutralise early.

Will I see a difference after one peel?

Skin usually looks fresher and smoother once it settles, but a first-session change can be subtle. Fewer breakouts and lighter marks come with the course.

Will my skin visibly peel?

Lightly, if at all. Some people see no flaking. Visible peeling isn't needed for the peel to work.

I have olive or dark skin. Is it safe for me?

With preparation, yes. Deeper tones have a higher chance of a dark mark after any irritation, so we prep with niacinamide and a brightening serum, keep the first peel conservative and space treatments further apart. If your history suggests a different treatment, we say so.

Will it fix acne scars or shrink my pores permanently?

No. It helps surface marks, congestion and the look of pores. Pitted scars and deep pigment need a different assessment.

My breakouts got worse after the first peel.

A short purge in the first week is common — congestion already forming comes up faster, then clears. If skin is still worse after two peels, we change the plan.

Can I have it while pregnant or breastfeeding, or on acne medication?

Salicylic peels need product-specific checking in pregnancy and breastfeeding, so we assess first and may recommend a gentler peel. Topical retinoids and antibiotics are usually fine with a short pause; isotretinoin means no acid peel during treatment or for six months after. The pharmacist reviews every medication.

How is this different from Retinol Renew?

Retinol Renew resurfaces for ageing, sun damage and dullness with a few days of flaking. Alpha-Beta Clear works in the pore for breakouts and post-acne marks with almost no downtime. Many clients move from one to the other once acne is settled.

Do I have to keep having peels?

No. At the final review we decide together whether to maintain, space out or stop. Persistent acne may need medical treatment, and we'll tell you if so.
